The Annual 7th District QP

Saturday May 3rd. 7QP is the follow-on to the Oregon QSO Party and has been run since 2005. In that time we have been able to get all 36 counties on the air by a combination
of fixed and mobile operations ...and firm support from the Oregon radio clubs.
The 7QP offers a good chance to do a station checkout for emergency operations, train new hams for HF operation, and provide your county as a multiplier to the rest of the hams in the country. The full rules, check sheets, and other useful information is found on the 7QP web page http://www.7qp.org

"MARC Ham get together, no Club business just fun
The MARC Club is having a no-host Pizza Feed the last Friday of every month. We had our first one on March 28th. Our turn out for this event was about 20 people. We had a very good time by the looks on everyone's faces. Come join the fun. It promises to only get better as the crowd grows."

International Lighthouse & Light Ships Weekend

This highly popular annual amateur radio event (not a contest) will be held
over the weekend of 16-17 August 2008.
There were 380 lights on the air from 48 countries last year.
All you need to know about the event is contained on the official web site
at http://illw.net  which has been the official web site since 2001.
The event is organized and managed by the Ayr Amateur Radio Group in
Scotland since the passing of the founder of the weekend, Mike Dalrymple,
GM4SUC, in December 2005."
